Faith In Your Love with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
Eula Irene Kimsey (1937–2014). I first met Teresa’s Mum Irene in 2011 and found her quite quirky. Over time I spent many hours with Teresa’s Mum and Dad, I introduced Ray to Genealogy and Photography, we all went tripping the Blueridge mountains together in Irene’s final years and they both introduced me to Poker! The memory of Irene most strong was when she would simply give me that look from over the table and take the winnings. This is my tribute to Irene’s unique personality and enduring love for her husband Ray of 60 years and family.
FAITH IN YOUR LOVE THE STORY
Irene: I loved her, she touched my life in the most simple ways; genuine; caring and funny, and most of all she loved me too and she even told me she was adopting me. My only regret was that I was unable to keep a promise I made her, but I know she understands and knows that I can still do good for others in the world.
Close to the end of her life; I was standing outside of her home that she shared with her husband of over 60 years; I was shooting a few photos like I always do. The following photo was in the batch that I took; I was shocked, shivers traveled down my spine.
His light was a crucifix above their home sending a promise that he was coming for Irene to take her home.
